Welcome To Yangon American International School
We are excited to be the first International Baccalaureate (IB) School with an authorized Primary Years Program (PYP) and we are a candidate school for the Middle Years Program (MYP) in Myanmar. Our program is designed to meet the unique needs and learning styles to personalize each student’s learning experience for them to achieve their full potential.
Our curriculum integrates the best of International and American frameworks, providing a comprehensive and stimulating education for your child. Our focus on inquiry-based learning allows children to explore and discover the world around them, developing key skills and understanding of concepts in a fun and engaging way. In addition to academic excellence, we place a strong emphasis on social-emotional well-being. We understand that students need to feel safe, supported, and valued in order to learn and grow, and we work to create a positive and inclusive learning environment where students can thrive.
In August 2019, Asia Strategic Holdings welcomed the first classes at Yangon American International School. Offering an academically rigorous, international American education, Yangon American is centrally located on Yangon-Insein Road in a newly renovated state-of-the art campus ensuring children excel in all areas, from academics to sports or the performing arts.

Every child is different, and his or her needs evolve as they grow. At Yangon American, we work hard to develop a strong bond with each child to ease their transitions and ensure they learn in a comfortable and relaxed environment. Our school was designed by professional educators who brought the very best practices and proven educational strategies of high performing schools from around the world and incorporated them into our program.
We also follow the International Baccalaureate (“IB”) framework, the gold standard in education. We are the only official International Baccalaureate Primary Years Program (IB PYP) school in Myanmar and a candidate school for the Middle Years Program (MYP) in Myanmar. We are one of an elite group of elementary school programs worldwide that offer IB PYP high-level academics to all our students. As an IB World School, Yangon American is now part of a global community of schools committed to developing knowledgeable, caring young people who will be ready to negotiate their future successfully and make contributions resulting in a more harmonious and peaceful world.

Wall Street English is one of the largest providers of English language training globally, boasting over 450 learning centers across 30 countries and with 3 million alumni. Asia Strategic Holdings has an exclusive long-term agreement to operate Wall Street English in Myanmar, currently managing six centers in Yangon & Mandalay, serving more than 2,000 students.
