Our Teachers

Inspiring, experienced and passionate

Teacher quality is the most significant factor in student success. At Yangon American, our teachers are coming from a variety of countries while bringing a wealth of cultural knowledge and understanding to the classroom. All of our teachers are fluent English speakers and have an internationally-recognized bachelor’s or master’s degree.

Our teachers aspire to be life-changing mentors in our students’ academic and social development. They understand the importance of student-centered learning and create an environment that fosters curiosity, critical thinking, problem-solving, and student agency. They use science of learning practices to optimize learning experiences and engage brain development to promote long term memory.

Great teachers make a great school, and our teachers are truly our greatest strength.
